As a volunteer, you will help promote, restore, and protect the natural and cultural resources of Russian River Area State Parks through interpretation, public stewardship, education programming, community science, and through connecting visitors to their parks! In addition to serving in beautiful Western Sonoma County, volunteers also receive:
- An annual free Day Use Pass for all State Parks in the Sonoma-Mendocino Coast District for volunteering 40 hours or more per year.
- A t-shirt or sweatshirt of your choice of color with a Stewards volunteer logo on it for volunteering 75 hours or more per year.
- An annual free Day Use Pass for all California State Parks for volunteering 200 hours or more per year.
- Discounted membership to Bay Nature magazine
Due to our partnership with California State Parks, Stewards is proud to be able to offer these benefits to our volunteers.
We offer many coastal and forest volunteer opportunities.
Before You Become a Volunteer
We appreciate your interest in becoming a volunteer. Volunteers provide stewardship and the opportunity to connect the public with their local parks through education and community science. In the redwoods and along the Sonoma coast, volunteering provides individuals with new skills, learning opportunities and connection with a community of dedicated fellow volunteers.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Bette Meritt at [email protected].
