Group Public Tours
Group tours are available in Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.
Book early! Please make your reservation at least two weeks prior to your visit.
We are unable to accept reservations made less than two weeks in advance without special permission, and we can not provide docent-led group tours during the weekends (Saturday and Sunday, May through September).
The cost will be confirmed after you book your reservation. Please note that your tour is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation from our Programs staff. Tours are approx. 2 hours, but can be extended based on your group’s needs (additional cost may apply). A typical tour is 2 hours from the Visitor Center to the Group Picnic Area. Many groups like to have lunch or take a break at the Group Picnic Area after the tour Our docents are knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the parks, as well as the history and geologic features.
Austin Creek State Recreation Area is closed until further notice due to the Walbridge Fire of August 2020. We do not have an approximate re-opening date.
Group Tour Fees
All groups must be 5 or more persons.
Please call for details at 707-869-9177. Group public tour rates do not apply to school groups.
Additional discounts available to large groups of 20 to 50+ participants. We apologize but we do not offer group tours for groups of 4 or less unless there are special circumstances such as disabilities that require oral interpretation. Funds raised through group tours support our free education programs for youth. Members of Stewards receive a 20% discount.
