Group Public Tours
Private Group tours are available in Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.
Book early! Please make your reservation at least two weeks prior to your visit. Docent-led experiences are available for groups of 5 to 60 people. Our docents are knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the parks, as well as the history and geologic features.
We are unable to accept reservations made less than two weeks in advance without special permission, and we can not provide private docent-led group tours during the weekends. On the weekends we do offer free public tours of Armstrong Redwoods.
The cost will be confirmed after you book your reservation. Please note that your tour is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation from our Programs staff. Tours are approx. 2 hours, but can be extended based on your group’s needs (additional cost may apply). A typical tour is 2 hours from the Visitor Center to the Group Picnic Area.
Many groups like to have lunch or take a break at the Group Picnic Area after the tour which is located 1 mile past the front parking lot. If you plan to eat lunch at the picnic area, consider packing your lunch in a backpack, and carry with you on the tour.
Sorry, group public tour rates do not apply to school groups.
