New to birding or just curious to try it out? Learning how to look for and identify birds can feel a little overwhelming. Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is pleased to support your birdwatching journey by hosting Birding for Beginners with Teresa and Miles Tuffli who have been helping bird-curious beginners venture out to appreciate the bird world.

You will learn tips and techniques on where, when, and how to look for birds by stopping to study birds along the walk… and listening. This event takes place on easy, flat ground, which will include about 1-3 miles of slow walking and observations. Bring binoculars if you have them (a limited number will be available for participants), pen/paper and if you want, your camera.

At the end of the event, you will have learned techniques and skills to build your confidence as a birdwatcher.

This event is designed for beginners but all are welcome to join.  Cost: $25 per person, but Stewards members receive the discounted price of $20.  Sign up here to become a member!

“Teresa and Miles’ passion for birds was contagious — they REALLY love birds, and by the end of the walk, we did too!” – Family Testimonial

Sorry, but this event is sold out.
