Teresa and Miles’ passion for birds is contagious – they really love birds, and by the end of the walk, you will too!
New to birding or just curious to try it out? Learning how to look for and identify birds can feel a little overwhelming. Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is pleased to support your birdwatching journey by hosting Birding at Willow Creek Road with Teresa and Miles Tuffli who love helping bird-curious beginners venture out to appreciate the bird world. All experience levels are welcome.
During raptor migration season, we’ll have the potential for multiple raptor species. We’ll look for wintering and year-round songbirds in the willows, alders, and scrub. And with some periodic views of the Russian River, we’ll be on the lookout for water-related species as well.
Please note there are no bathroom facilities at this location. The outing will be cancelled or postponed in the event of moderate or heavy rain.
Cost: $25 per person (general public), but Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods members take 20% off, and receive the discounted price of $20. Become a member!
Class size: Limited to 16
Visit: Check out Teresa and Miles website, ImBirdingRightNow.com and their Facebook page “I’m Birding Right Now”.
Note: Teresa and Miles are also offering a coastal birding class at Bodega Dunes on Friday, October 18. See our events page for more information.
