Join Maryland potter and Pond Farmer Hunt Prothro on Sunday from 1PM to 3:30PM at the NorCal Pottery Studio in Guerneville. With students alternating handwork with wheel-throwing, Hunt will discuss and demonstrate the elementary structures of Bauhaus-trained potter Marguerite Wildenhain’s wheel technique, mastery of which she considered foundational to the totality of a “live form.” Wildenhain, whose technique and pedagogy characterized the mid-twentieth century American Studio Pottery Movement, lived and taught at Pond Farm Pottery in Guerneville for more than 40 years.
$75 per person. All proceeds benefit Pond Farm Pottery. Once registered, you will receive confirmation. There, you will need to sign the attached waiver to attend.
Reservations are required. Limited to 15 participants.
