2024 Animal Track and Sign April

WHEN:

Friday, April 26, 2024

8:30 am - 12:30 pm

WHERE:

Pomo Canyon Environmental Campground
Highway 1
Duncans Mills, CA 95430

This is a great class! Space is limited to 20 attendees.  RSVP now (below), and pay cash/check to the instructors the morning of the class.

Get out your waterproof boots and lets go for a walk at one of California’s most beautiful spaces -Pomo Canyon in Willow Creek (just South of Jenner).  Join Larry and Cynthia and learn to recognize animal tracks and signs, nests and burrows. We will open our senses to details of animal presence and interactions in the environment. Join us as we venture into the world of our local animal inhabitants of beautiful Pomo Canyon while the ground is wet, and animals tracks are most likely to be in abundance! This is a great class for beginning trackers, but all levels are welcome!

Be sure to bring a lunch or snack, and water, of course.  The area is stunning right now, and we are sure you will want to stay after the class is over, and enjoy the views while you eat lunch.

Kids are free! Note: This event is not advised for the younger children since we will be doing a bit of walking on uneven ground.
