Bring your class to a Armstrong Redwoods SNR and provide your students with an exceptional opportunity for learning! Stewards Redwood Ecology Program offers students a chance to walk among the redwood giants and learn about the grove’s complex web of life, while seeing a wide variety of flora and sometimes fauna. This program is suited for all grade levels.
Docent-led experiences are available for school groups of 60 students or less.
It is advisable to make your reservations at the beginning of the school year as we fill up during the months of April and May. Because demand is high for programs, scheduling can take up to two weeks, so allow yourself ample lead time when scheduling programs.
Please be advised that buses may drop off students at the entrance to Armstrong Redwoods and then park in the town of Guerneville until it’s time to pick up the students.
Due to the time and effort of our staff and docents to coordinate field trips, the fee is $7.50 per student. Car parking is free for up to 8 cars, and $10 per car (or $9 for seniors) above that.
If your school is a Title 1 school, or more than 50% on free and reduced price lunch the fee is $0 per student and free parking for 8 cars. If your trip has more than 8 cars, you will need to pay $10 (or $9 for seniors) for each additional car.
