You helped raise over $12,000 to further the good works of Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods!
Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is a local non-profit volunteer driven organization working in conjunction with California State Parks to facilitate the operations at Armstrong Woods State Park, Austin Creek Recreation Area, Willow Creek Watershed and the Sonoma County Coastal State Park system.
Stewards will be auctioning fun and unique items and experiences to raise funding to help continue our mission of ecological and cultural preservation through education and stewardship.
Your donations support education, stewardship programs and facilities at Armstrong Woods State Natural Reserve, the Austin Creek State Recreational Area and the Sonoma Coast State Parks. Our 2024 work also includes:
- Increasing public awareness of Pond Farm as a newly designated historical site that celebrates art history, Jewish history, women’s history and the universal story of triumph in the face of adversity.
- Addressing the increasing student and educator demand for our environmental education activities including school visits and ocean/forest fieldtrips.
- Expanding our community outreach efforts to support ecology and environmental education.
- Investing to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are integral to our path forward.
- Repairing fire and infrastructure damage to facilitate the reopening of parts of the Austin Creek Recreation area and Bullfrog Pond Campground.
- Developing new bilingual signage for all of our parks.
