This is a free event! Climate distress is a valid response to our changing world. It can appear in many ways, including fear, grief, anger, helplessness, sadness, and numbness. This workshop will help us better understand the nervous system’s response to these changes and provide strategies to move us toward greater joy, self-awareness, and action.

Heather Meader is a therapist whose practice in California and Washington State focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing climate/political/social distress. She previously worked as a Mental Health Service Provider for the Sonoma County Office of Education and was part of the team that responded during the 2017 firestorm. Heather’s life has been shaped by the rural Alaskan and Northern California communities where she spent most of her childhood and early adult years. As a result, Heather is passionate about supporting community resilience during overwhelming environmental, social, or political changes.
